Stādu audzētava Baižas atrodas Inciemā, netālu no Siguldas apkaimes augstākās vietas Saules kalna. Ja pirmais pavasara pērkons iestaigā ceļu pār šo kalnu, vasarā par nokrišņu trūkumu nesūdzamies, ja aiziet garām, tad ir švaki! Pār Inciema klajumiem ieskrējies ziemeļu vējš ir negants, bet stādu audzētava atrodas meža ielokā, kur valda pavisam citi vēji. Šeit pēdējie pavasarī nokūst sniegi, arī rudens saulīte vairs nespēj pacelties virs koku galiem, lai atkausētu salnu skartos augus.
Kad ceļotāja gars ved apraudzīt Siguldu, Turaidu, Turaidas skolas meža taku, Anšlava Eglīša “Pansiju pilī” vai brauciet Raganas ķēķa, Lēdurgas dendroparka vai Straupes pazemes ezeriem, laipni lūgti iegriezties arī stādu audzētavā “Baižas”.
Kādreiz šeit atradās kolhoza “Ezerciems” lauki, dārzniecība. Balstoties uz mātes Maijas Baižas izveidoto ziemciešu kolekciju, arī es 2004. gadā paralēli studijām Latvijas Lauksaimniecības universitātē blakus mammas saimniecībai izveidoju savu stādu audzētavu.
Saimniecība aug reizē ar manām spējām un zināšanām. Pašlaik varu piedāvāt apmēram 700 veidu un šķirņu ziemciešu stādus. Uz vietas lielākā daļa stādu tiek realizēta kailsakņu formā. Stādus var iegādāties arī stādu centros Siguldā, Ieriķos, Cēsīs, Valmierā, Limbažos un Saulkrastos.
Pamatoti lepojos ar plašo astilbju kolekciju, daudzveidīgs ir arī saulrieteņu piedāvājums.
