Description
Atrodas pašā Rucavas centrā, pēc skaita sestā baznīca Rucavā, celta 1872 – 1874. gadam. 1874. gada decembrī baznīca tika iesvētīta. Pēc 1927. gada ugunsgrēka baznīca 1932. gadā atjaunota. Baznīcā ir 570 sēdvietas, joprojām baznīcā saglabājušies interesanti mākslas priekšmeti – no 19. gs. 3. ceturkšņa altārglezna „Kristus ar Svēto vakarēdienu” un 2 I. Zeberiņa gleznas „Jēzus pie krusta” un „Jēzus svētī bērnus”. Baznīcā iebūvētas Liepājas meistara Jēkaba Jauģieša visapjomīgākais un skaistākais darbs – 1936. gadā izgatavotās ērģeles (23 reģistri, 2 manuāli, pedālis, 1800 stabules), izmantotas dažāda spiediena plēšas, meistars centies lietot koka stabules pat tur, kur tās parasti izgatavo no metāla. Ērģeles ir pirmās Latvijā, kas, izmantojot J. Madernieka ornamentu paraugus, izgatavotas latviskā gaumē. To izgatavojis kokgriezējs Pēteris Plankuss. Ērģeles ir valsts nozīmes piemineklis.
