Saukas evanģēliski luteriskā baznīca, church
Saukas baznīca, Saukas pagasts, Jēkabpils novads, Latvija, LV-5224Braucot pa Saukas ezera ziemeļu krastu (kur ceļu krustojums uz Klauci), koku ieskauta redzama Saukas luterāņu baznīca. Mūsdienās esošais ir trešais dievnams šajā vietā. To atklāja 1827. g. un tas apskatāms no ārpuses.
Senākā Saukas baznīca celta Saukas ezera ziemeļu krastā pirmā Kurzemes un Zemgales hercoga Gotharda Ketlera laikā 1567. gadā. Gan pēc Poļu-zviedru kara 1636. gadā, gan pēc nopostīšanas Lielā Ziemeļu kara laikā 1725. gadā Saukā atkal uzcēla jaunu koka baznīcu. 1805. gadā koka baznīcu nojauca un 1825. gadā sāka celt mūra baznīcu.
Pēc 1865. gada gar baznīcas sienām uzbūvēja balkonu un kanceli, uzbūvēja tagadējās ērģeles un izgatavoja altāri ar apustuļu Pētera un Pāvela tēliem. 1868. gadā atklāja altāra gleznu "Jēzus pie krusta ar Mariju un Jāni" (Jūliuss Dērings), 1873. gadā baznīcas tornī uzvilka zvanu. Ērģeles ir Jelgavas amatnieku darbs, bet to stabules nākušas no Saukas.
Pirmā pasaules kara laikā kopš 1915. gada baznīca atradās vācu karaspēka okupācijas zonā, zvanu evakuēja uz Novgorodu. 1933. gadā baznīcas jumtu malu pārklāja ar cinkoto skārdu. Pēc Otrā pasaules kara baznīcu vairākkārt izdemolēja.
